Ra Workshop CNC is an add-on with which you can generate the necessary data for the
machines with numerical command (CNC – Computer Numerical Control). Controlling the machines
using Ra Workshop assures an increased working speed and eliminates losses generated by
employees that operate the machines.
What machines can Ra Workshop CNC operate?
Ra Workshop CNC can operate machines for profile cutting, welding and glass processing.
The carpentry machines industry doesn't have a standard for CNC machines which means that this add-on
needs to be implemented for each provider, at client's request.
The CNC Add-On can work with the following machines:
- CNC - Profile cutting
- Elumatec: E255/A, E555/1
- Rotox: ZGS 314
- Kaban: 1030, 1040 (InfoSys 2.0)
- Pertici: 500F2K
- Techna: TK145/10 Gold
- CNC - Profile welding
- CNC - Glass
How does Ra Workshop CNC works?
The CNC Add-On for profile cutting is conditioned by the profile cutting optimization. This feature is included only in the
Advanced Professional edition.
The other CNC Add-On (for welding and glass) can be puchased together with any production version.
Ra Workshop Add-On will generate, for each case, one or more files. These are transferred to the
machine (through a network, USB ports or a diskette) and the machine starts executing the operations
described in the file.
What advantages does Ra Workshop CNC bring?
The main advantages of the Ra Workshop CNC Add-On are: reducing the working time, eliminating human errors
and a better organization inside the company.
For example, the numerical command for profile cutting contains all the information necessary
to the machine. The only thing that the machine operator has to do is to supply the machine
with profiles and to place the newly cut segment in the proper slot of the pushcart. The
cutting time is greatly decreased due to the fact that the machine operator doesn’t have to
type the dimensions and the profile angles.
Because all the information is generated by Ra Workshop no human error can occur (i.e.: wrong
typing of a quotation or an angle). The wrong typing of a cutting quotation (when we don’t have
CNC) will influence the whole optimization process because the rest of the segments cannot be
cut from that same bar.
A better organized company comes from the fact that the CNC machines allow the attachment of a
stamp printer (etiquette printer). This way each item will have the necessary information
during the whole technological process of production. At each working stall the operator will
read from the stamp the necessary information and will take action accordingly.
